Liberty Villages started with a brother and sister's passion for sharing the blessings of Christian liberty.
Spencer and Sophie Shrader grew up homeschooled. This gave them freedom and flexibility to pursue an education based on Christianity and entrepreneurship. Their formative years were spent immersed in a Christian based curriculum packed with quality literature. The books were so intriguing and captivating that everybody in the family would read them. This meant there were always common topics to discuss around the dinner table or on car rides and the bonding experience was invaluable.
As teenagers, they added online classes from universities and began learning about free market economics at the Mises Institute. They were able to custom design a curriculum to their level of understanding, and focused on their interests which allowed them to pursue what they were truly passionate about. They were blessed with the opportunity to study and travel, play sports, and grow as Christians. Academically, great programs on all subjects were available and allowed them to progress at their own pace. Socially, they could interact and become comfortable communicating with people of all ages, not predominantly children of the same age. Most importantly, homeschooling provided an environment that fostered family relationships and support of one another. With a lot of hard work they have grown up best friends, and genuine encouragers of one another.
Through Liberty Villages, Spencer and Sophie strive to promote entrepreneurship and peace. Liberty Villages provides a supportive environment and resources for home educated students and families to achieve success and reach their potential.
The United States of America was founded on the principles of personal liberty where all individuals have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This revolutionary idea of limited government ruled by the people allowed creativity and entrepreneurship to flourish and led to an incredibly prosperous society. At Liberty Villages, we are passionate about protecting this great blessing and providing educational environments that foster these beliefs, not just in the United States, but around the world.
There are many that don’t have the same Christian support system and the freedom needed to pursue their dreams and reach their potential. Founding Liberty Villages is an attempt to protect and expand the opportunities for people to flourish in a free and peaceful Christian community.
